Chicago!!! - Part I

I know it's been awhile since my last post. It's been a whirlwind of trips, summer vacation and adjusting to the "normal" life. I'll warn you now, these series of posts will be lengthy with lots of photos to help me remember these fun memories! So here goes!

We left on Tues. May 24th. Right after the kids got off the bus, we were on our way to Las Vegas. My mom and dad (bless them!!) had the courage to watch the kids while we were gone. We loaded up the car. As you can see, Ammon had enough of this trip already.

Megan's face proves how much she loved being confined to her middle seat. Ethan loves LOVES this piano book with Disney characters on each page. It kept him entertained for a good 60 miles! While at my parents house, he'd bring this book to the piano and start playing his version of disney songs. The babies had a table all to themselves!

Weds. the 26th, we left after lunch and headed to the airport. The big kids went with my dad and uncle so they could go to the M&M world afterwards. I missed them already but so excited to be able to go on an airplane and see dear friends, and especially show Brad where I grew up!

This flight was completely full!! No empty seats whatsoever. It was a bummer not to be able to sit next to each other on the plane, but at least Brad sat right in front of me. As were were getting closer to Midway airport, I was swinging my legs in my seat because I was just so excited!! We got our rental car aka The Hearse

and decided to drive to a random hotel that was near the Hilton where we'd stay for the remainder of the trip. That hotel was right next to a gas station and since it was already 11pm, there was no where else to go. So we thought we'd go and grab a late night snack.
