Today was the beginning of the long Thanksgiving weekend. Unfortunately, we couldn't go down to Vegas with the rest of the siblings to be with my parents. The babies are still in the NICU. We were hoping to have them today but with the doctor's concerns of dealing with oxygen during feeding at home (and all the tubes and monitors along with it) we opted to have them just stay in the hospital until they are good and certainly ready to come home. The babies both weigh 5 lbs. and 12 oz. (Just 2 oz. short of my birth weight.) They are drinking volumes of milk, passed their car seat tests, and passed their hearing tests. Brad and I even had to watch a CPR video as part of the discharge process.
Last night their feeding tubes were removed. So they are strictly on the bottle and have their feedings every 3 1/2-4 hours.
