Since you took the time to see what a day in the life of the Smoots is like you must be intrigued. Both Brad and I are working and hardly have time to even talk about the day. So this will be a good thing to even give him updates on what's going on.
This including many other family pictures were taken a few weeks ago with dear friends of ours. They do photography on the side and were gracious enough to take the time out to take our family pictures along with Cherry and her family. It was a fun day of smiling and taking candid photos of the kids too.
Brad works at a company in the accounting dept. and loves to take advantage of the company lunches twice a month on Fridays, Breakfast with the Boss every quarter and gets to have a free membership at the rec. center to play racquetball or wally ball with co-workers. It's nice to drop by sometimes at his work since they have fountain drinks and a stash of snacks to take. :-)
Typically Brad stays active getting up at 4:40am (crazy!!) to run and train for his 2nd marathon. The first one was on May 19th in Ogden. The 2nd one is in Park City on August 25th. He'll get ready for work, leave and then we switch at 4:15, and he takes care of the kids with dinner, and after they go to bed, he will train again and go to bed at 9:00pm.
The kids have been out of school for 1 whole wee
k now. Seems like forever! LOL It's hard to keep them entertained when I have to worry about work calling me or something. We've excited that Megan was on the honor roll all year long. So for her reward she's getting her prize. of Heely's. She has been asking for those all year. We told her to save her money. But since she's done so great. She keeps her money she's saved and gets these.
Morgan is done with kindergarten. Her teacher has told me during conferences that she has just blossomed, and came out of her shell. She used to be so quiet in class, but she's so fun to watch at recess. Sometimes her easy going personality comes and out they enjoy it. She's reading books that I didn't think was possible to read in kindergarten yet, she loves to instant message me or her dad or anyone she can find available.
Braden is 3 and right now is just in love with Spiderman, or Bob the Builder or Go Diego Go! He's a daddy's boy when I'm not home, but still wants me to hold him when he just wakes up. That's just the best time, when they're just sweet and cuddly in the morning. Right now, he wants me to print up pictures for him to color of the Power Rangers. His first choice of undies to buy at the store is Power Rangers. So all around his room, he's got his color artwork hanging. It's cute to see how a child's likes and dislikes evolve.
Well right now, that's us in a nutshell.
